Welcome to
Elohim Christian Center Inc.

Elohim Christian Center, Inc, located in the town of Meriden CT, is an anointed fivefold ministry (Ephesians 4:11). This means the ministry of the apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, and teacher giftings operate in the ministry as the Spirit of God wills. These callings are put in place by the Lord Jesus Christ for the work of the ministry and to edify the body of Christ.

Elohim Christian Center was birthed in 1999. This church has been instructed by God to pray for the will of God, fast to break yokes of bondage, minister to others needs and seek His face for salvation of mankind.

We are also commissioned to make disciples of all men (Matthew 28:19) through the Word of God and by the power of the Holy Spirit.

VIsion of the ministry

Proverbs 29:18 ( Where there is no vision then people will perish)
The vision of the ministry is to make disciples, that will do the will of God.
Elohim Christian Center Inc. is an anointed ministry of God, of which Jesus is the head.
Our vision is to save the lost at any cost, to clothe the barren, to feed the hungry, and to heal the sick, to bring liberty to the captives and to destroy the works of the enemy by the living word of God. All for the uplifting of the kingdom of God, for the glory of the Father, the Son, and his Holy Spirit

Our Statement of faith

We believe the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, to be the

only infallible, inerrant Word of God; the complete revelation of God’s will for the
eternal salvation of men, and the divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life
(IT Timothy 3:16-17; IT Peter 1:21).

GOD HEAD

We believe in one God, Creator of all things, and manifested as Father, Son and Holy Spirit— who are identical in essence, equal in power and glory, and possess precisely the same attributes and perfection (Deut. 6:4; Matt 28: 19; LK. 3:22; 2 COR. 13:14).

JESUS CHRIST

We believe that Jesus Christ was born of the virgin Mary having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and having entered history as the Son of God from eternity past. He was and is the Living Word of God, Creator and Sustainer of all things, the self-expressed Image of God’s Person. He lived a sinless life upon the earth possessing in His Person a complete human nature and the Divine nature, thereby fully qualifying as the sacrificial Lamb of God in atonement for the sins of the world and becoming the perfect

Mediator of the new Covenant of salvation. In accomplishing this work He was crucified and -died upon -the -cr1)SS -of Calvary, was -buried, resurrected bodily on the third day after His death, was seen .0£ men and ascended- to- the- right hand of the- Father where-He serves -as the Advocate -and High Priest for the heirs of salvation and from where He will personally return in bodily form to the- earth in glorious power and dominion as- King of Kings and Supreme Judge, to rule upon the earth (John 1:1-3; 1 Timothy 2:6; Hebrews 1:1-3, Acts 1:11).

MAN’S CONDITION

We believe that man. was-created in the image and likeness of God, in innocence and without sin. But in Adam’s sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, became’ spiritually dead and-alienated-from God so that man is a sinner by-both nature and imputation, thereby justly condemned to eternal damnation without defense of excuse, and man, himself, is incapable of remedying his lost and depraved condition.

Man’s only hope of redemption is through the blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. – (Rom.3:10 – 18; 5:12,19; Eph 2:1-3) (Gen. 1:26 – 31; 3:1 – 7; Rom. 5:12 – 21).

SALVATION

1. Conditions to Salvation: The grace of God, which brings salvation, has appeared to all men, through the preaching of repentance- toward the Lord Jesus Christ; man is saved by the washing nf regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, and being justified by grace thro-ugh faith, he- becomes an-heir of God according to the hope of eternal life. – (Tit. 2:11; Luk. 24:47; Rom. 5:1 – 2; Tit. 3:5 – 7).

2. The Evidence of Salvation: The inward evidence of salvation is the direct witness of the-Holy Spirit (Rom. 8::1-6). The-outward evidence to All-men is-a life of the righteousness and true holiness. (1 Pet. 1: 13 – 16).

WATER BAPTISM

We believe that baptism by full immersion in water through the name of the Lord Jesus Christ identifies us with His death, burial and resurrection and we should arise to walk in newness of life and holiness, separated from worldly lust and sinful living – (Rom 6: 1-18).

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the baptism in the present-day ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whom, the follower of Jesus Christ is empowered to live for and give testimony to the glory of God through a victorious and holy life resulting in the administration of miraculous gifts and ministries by the Holy Spirit. – (Acts 2: 1-4; 1 Corinthians 12:4-11).

HEALING AND DELIVERANCE

We believe that Divine healing, Divine health and deliverance from evil spirits and bondage is provided for us by God in the work of the Atonement and obtained by faith in the power of the name of the Lord Jesus Christ – (Luke 10:19; Mark 16:17-18; James 5:14-16; Peter 2:24).

RESURRECTION

We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost: the redeemed to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord; the unbeliever to judgement and everlasting punishment. – (I Thessalonians 4: 13-18; Revelation 20: 11-15).

THE CHRISTIAN LIFE

We believe that a Christian should desire to live a life of righteousness, good works, and separation unto God from evil ways of the world (Rom. 12:1,2), manifested by speaking the truth (Js. 5:12), maintaining the sanctity of home (Eph 5:22-6:4), settling differences between Christians in accordance with the Word of God (I Cor 6:1-8), not engaging in carnal strife but showing a Christ like attitude toward all men (Rom 12:17-21), exhibiting the fruit of the Spirit (Gal 5:22,23), and maintaining a life of prayer (Eph 6:18; Phil 4:6).

ARTICLE XII MARRIAGE

“We believe that the term ‘marriage’ has only one meaning and that is marriage sanctioned by God which joins one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture.

“We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to only occur between a man and a woman who are married to each other.  We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman.

“We believe that any form of sexual immorality, such as adultery, fornication, homosexuality, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, pornography or any attempt to change one’s sex, or disagreement with one’s biological sex, is sinful and offensive to God.

“We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of the church as the local Body of Christ, and to provide a biblical role model to the church members and the community, it is imperative that all persons employed by the church in any capacity, or who serve as volunteers, should abide by and agree to this Statement on Marriage and Sexuality and conduct themselves accordingly.

We believe that God offers redemption and restoration to all who confess and forsake their sin, seeking His mercy and forgiveness through Jesus Christ.

We believe that every person must be afforded compassion, love, kindness, respect, and dignity.  Hateful and harassing behavior or attitudes directed toward any individual are to be repudiated and are not in accord with scripture nor the doctrines of the church.”

 GOD-pleasing LIFE

This does not mean that believers never sin. The believer as a new creature continues to struggle against the flesh, which continues to war against the spirit and cause a life in conflict, imperfect in performance in comparison to his new character (Rom 7:7-25). However, believers who do sin do not form a distinctive group identifiable as “carnal (fleshly) Christians” as set apart from “non-carnal Christians.”

No doubt, all Christians commit acts of carnality. Sinful conduct finds its source in the flesh (I Cor 3:3; I Pet 2:11; 2Pet 2:18) and these individuals can be said to be guilty of carnality or acting according to the flesh. Correspondingly, all believers are disciples by virtue of their relationship with Jesus Christ; therefore, a “disciple “is not a casual reference to a believer who is “no longer (fleshly) carnal, “based upon a decision to walk more obediently, but Christian being applied to followers (disciples) of Christ.
